The Select Committee of the Board of Directors announced today that Girlā€™s Director of Coaching Gary Germaine will be leaving the club and pursuing other interests. Plans for his replacement have not been finalized.
ā€œGary has done some wonderful things for our Girlā€™s program, bringing in qualified coaches with a great deal playing experience in women's soccer such as former Atlanta Beat players, coaches with college coaching experience, and increasing the number of girls in the program overall,ā€ said Chris Werner President of the Board, ā€œwe part as friends and wish Gary all the best. His enthusiasm for Girls soccer will be hard to replace and I will miss him.ā€ ā€œIā€™ve met some wonderful people here at Cobb FC and in Georgia,ā€ said Germaine, ā€œI thank each of you for your hospitality and assistance during my time here. I will stay in touch.ā€
All Girls Academies will practice at the same previously scheduled times but the location has been changed to the South side of Tramore Park on fields # 10 and # 11.
