Parents,

In September 2001 I was given a fantastic opportunity to come and work for Cobb FC, in my time at Cobb FC I have held various positions, including Recreation Coaching Director, Academy and Select coach. I have very much enjoyed my time here at Cobb FC and have seen various changes and improvements.

Therefore, it is with great regret that I am informing you all that Sunday 1st April will be my final day working for Cobb FC. On Monday 2nd April I will be returning to England for personal reasons.

USA International Selected to experience “The West Ham Way�
The West Ham USA Academy has announced that Jack McInerney, a member of the USA Under 15 National squad has been selected to spend a week in the West Ham United Youth Academy in London, England from April 6th to April 15th.

McInerney, a fourteen year-old forward from Alpharetta, Georgia, will join the U15 and U16 West Ham Academy squads for a week of training and evaluation under the direction of West Ham United Academy Manager Tony Carr. Jack, who attends South Forsyth High School and plays club soccer for Cobb FC was a member of the USA Under 15 National Team during 2006 and 2007. He established a regional reputation as a member of the Georgia 1992 Boys Olympic Development Program.

Cobb FC’s U-13 Lady Chiefs Gold secured another tournament championship last weekend with a dominating display in the bronze division of the premier-rated Vulcan Cup tournament in Birmingham, AL. The team brushed aside competition from GA, IN, and TN in the qualifying rounds, before overwhelming GFC Elite 4-0 in the final with goals from Rebecca Uranga, Amanda Fenton, Rachel VanHorn, and Amber Milner.

Uniforms - As you may know, we have encountered problems with our uniform supplier. We placed our Spring 2007 order last November. Our supplier notified us last week that they will not be able to fulfill our order. We are looking for alternate suppliers and hope that we can outfit our players by this weekend. How can you help? Coaches have been asked that any left over uniforms that may be in their possession must be returned to the club so that we may use them to outfit those players still needing uniforms.

Schedules The bad news are that Georgia state Soccer continues to have problems with their new system. Parings for our U14, U16 and U19 are not completed yet. So games can't be scheduled yet. Not so bad news, U10 and U12 games for this weekend have been scheduled. The rest are subject to change. Away games at KFC still not completed. The good news u6 and u8 game schedules are official and are now available. Please verify your schedule and notify Juan Castillo at jcastillo@cobbfc.org of any discrepancies.
