Mission Statement: To enhance the growth and participation of youth soccer by promoting and fostering healthy competition and development in an environment that is enjoyable and sporting for all participants regardless of individual ability as well as creating a more challenging environment for those players who strive to reach their fullest potential.

NEW SELECT PAYMENT POLICY
From the Board of Directors of Cobb FC

Cobb FC has adopted new policies and procedures to deal with the non-payment and delinquent payment of fees due to the club. These policies and procedures are necessary first and foremost so that we treat all of our members equitably. It is not fair to allow members who do not pay what they owe (after taking into account any financial aid that has been granted to a member) to obtain the same benefits as those members who pay what they owe when the amount is due.

You will receive these policies and procedures via an email communication and they will be posted in the "Select" section of the website.

The Youth Soccer Column: Youth Referees
The author, Ron Bedwell, is a youth soccer administrator in Richmond, Virginia.

US Soccer Players -- Youth referees - kids who are in middle school or high school trying to make some spending money in a sport they love.

Every year more and more kids are recruited to become referees because the game is growing and experienced refs are leaving. Why are the kids leaving? They are going to work, graduating high school, and going to college. Most often the story is they do not want to put up with the parents anymore. With that in mind, we will take a look at youth referees from three different angles and what it takes to get a referee on the field after they have been certified.

SPEED, AGILITY AND COORDINATION TRAINING
Not many clubs employ a running coach, who forms part of a coaching staff. In many instances, a running coach works in isolation to the other demands of soccer training. For example, technical and tactical training. In reality, the term "running coach" or "speed coach" does little justice to the contribution this type of specialized training offers.

Cobb FC has recognized this fundamental aspect of soccer specific training in cohesion with its Coerver skills training. The aim is to focus on the development of associated footwork to compliment soccer skills.

TIME AND PLACE:
TRAMORE 10, MONDAY 5.45 - 6.45pm
WEDNESDAYS 6.00 - 7.00pm.

TRAINER: MARCEL PINTO
