USA International Selected to experience "The West Ham Way" The West Ham USA Academy has announced that Jack McInerney, a member of the USA Under 15 National squad has been selected to spend a week in the West Ham United Youth Academy in London, England from April 6th to April 15th. McInerney, a fourteen year-old forward from Alpharetta, Georgia, will join the U15 and U16 West Ham Academy squads for a week of training and evaluation under the direction of West Ham United Academy Manager Tony Carr. Jack, who attends South Forsyth High School and plays club soccer for Cobb FC was a member of the USA Under 15 National Team during 2006 and 2007. He established a regional reputation as a member of the Georgia 1992 Boys Olympic Development Program.

In addition to the opportunity to practice and play with West Ham Academy and youth players, Jack will stay at the West Ham hotel, located in the club stadium with rooms overlooking the field. He will also have the opportunity to see the West Ham United play Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in English Premier League action. He will be the first of a number of elite US youth soccer players being selected to visit the West Ham United youth academy in London.

The West Ham Academy has a well-established reputation as one of the most prolific youth academies in world soccer and has graduated players that have generated over $150 million in transfer fees. Recent graduates include current England internationals Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick, Frank Lampard, Joe Cole and Jermain Defoe.

The West Ham USA Academy has been established to develop and share the “West Ham Way” of youth player development with partner clubs throughout the USA. The West Ham USA Academy will be officially launched by West Ham United Academy Manager Tony Carr and members of his academy coaching staff in Atlanta in April.

Jack has played for the club since he was 11 years old, and has improved with every season. He is one of the top marksmen in the Nation and has help his U15 premier team win one state title , one region III title and the prestigious Dallas Cup.
