U-13 Lady Chiefs Victorious in Tennessee

Cobb FC’s U-13 Lady Chiefs Gold secured another tournament championship last weekend with a dominating display in the bronze division of the premier-rated Vulcan Cup tournament in Birmingham, AL. The team brushed aside competition from GA, IN, and TN in the qualifying rounds, before overwhelming GFC Elite 4-0 in the final with goals from Rebecca Uranga, Amanda Fenton, Rachel VanHorn, and Amber Milner.

The girls scored eight goals in the qualifying round of games, including a 5-0 demolition of SWISA (IN), to secure their place in the final, with the defense, anchored by Lauren Bidwell and Kathleen Bell sharing goalkeeping duties, doing their part by ensuring 3 consecutive shutouts.

To make the team’s performance even more memorable, they ended the tournament tied for 1st place for the highest points total (37 out of a possible 40) of any team across all 16 divisions of play!
