Academy Training Session
Warm up – 30 minutes
The warm up period generally focuses on maximizing the opportunities for individual development by maintaining a low player to ball ratio (1-3 players per ball).
• Activities to develop individual technical skills.
• Speed and Agility exercises
• “Scoring” games with the ball
Main Practice – 60 minutes
The main part of the practice session requires players to apply the technical skills acquired in the warm up to a competitive environment that requires effective tactical decision making in order to achieve success.
• 2v2
• 3v3
• 4v4
Coaches will also work with players on the basic elements of effective team shape and appropriate positioning relative to the ball and the opponents. |
